SNP Happy Thanksgiving
Our Canadian Thanksgiving occurred in early October but I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportuntity to wish all my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving for your upcoming holiday. As a matter of fact. the DT at Stamp N Plus Scrap N all want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving so we did a group post. To see it, pop over to the SNP blog.
I chose to play with the Stamp N Plus Happy Thanksgiving Cornucopia stamp which is gorgeous. I stamped it in black Versafine ink and then coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. A Spellbinders die, Labels 26, was used to cut out the image . The edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink. For the background, a TH embossing folder was used on the bottom brown cardstock. The top paper was a scrap from my stash. A thin strip of it was also added to the bottom of the brown embossed piece for continuity. Orange grosgrain ribbon hides the seam between the two papers.
To further embellish this card, wooden buttons were threaded with orange and white baker's twine and adhered in a row at the bottom of the card. Two punched leaves were glued to the top right corner and faux stitching decorates the inked edges of the card.
Thanks for visiting today. Be sure and drop by the Stamp N Plus blog to see what Thanksgiving inspiration the rest of the DT cooked up for you (Thanksgiving pun). If I don't see you before Thursday Nov. 22, have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.
Life is good; so is art.

Another outstanding card! Thanks for putting together the Thanksgiving post over on the SNP blog today. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteYour cornucopia is gorgeous - you get great color with the Prismas! I'm in love with wooden buttons... Can't believe it's already time for Thanksgiving! (I was going to say have a wonderful holiday, but I'm thinking that's a U.S. thing...) So, just have a great rest of the month!!
