Lemuria ~ a Rick St. Dennis mermaid

Hi everyone! Have you seen the posting on the RSD Digi Fans & Friends Facebook page about the current challenge that Rick St. Dennis is running? His latest theme is mermaidsuse any of his mermaid images or change one of his images into a mermaid to create a project. Well, seeing all of those fabulous mermaid projects being posted on FB has inspired me to play with one myself and hopefully provide you with a little more inspiration.

I chose to colour the gorgeous image called Lemuria which can be found in Rick's Zibbet shop here or his Etsy shop hereI coloured her with Prismacolor pencils...love her luxurious hair and scales. I fussy cut her and matted her with black cardstock before popping Lemuria up with foam tape.

The background for the card started with a white card base and a section from Me & My Big Ideas Low Tide stack. This paper has a bit of shimmer in the pearlized writing and starfish. It was matted in black and then loose weave burlap was adhered over the bottom on the diagonal.

Lemuria was positioned over top and her stash was adhered to the "netting". There is a pocket watch brad, a key charm, a hand mirror charm, shells and pearls. Three sand dollars from paper ribbon were also added to the card as well as three Dew Drop bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your fine company and Lemuria is always delighted to show off her collection of trinkets from passing and sunken ships. For more inspiration using Rick's fabulous images, fun challenges including the details of Rick's mermaid challenge, and some wonderful sharing of projects and knowledge, come and visit:
