Angelique ~ CYP Challenge #241

Hi there! It's Monday and that means a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This week our theme is Baby, It's Cold Outside so we are looking for projects that reflect that. Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Delicious Doodles and I chose to play along using Angelique With Snowflake. I especially love Teri's gorgeous fairies and this one is so pretty.

I coloured Angelique with Prismacolor pencils and added a transparent snowflake sticker to the already gorgeous snowflake on the image in order to tie the image to the background. The image was fussy cut along the top edge and trimmed out on the other three sides before it was matted in black and popped up on foam tape.

I kept the background very simple because I like these images to really stand alone. They are so detailed and striking. A piece of deep blue textured cardstock was cut slightly smaller than the white card base. Large white snowflakes and a smaller one were punched from white cardstock and adhered to the blue so they are peeking out from behind Angelique. Transparent stickers with hints of glitter were placed in the open spaces as well as in the large snowflake centers.

The sentiment began as a metallic sticker added to black cardstock. It was then fuusy cut around the words and placed on a die cut background of foil cardstock. This was then popped up on foam tape and tucked slightly under the image. Faux stitching was doodled around the outer white border of the card to finish off the design.

Thanks for stopping by today. Angelique and I appreciate your fine company. When you get a chance, pop over to the Craft Your Passion Challenges blog to see the other gorgeous creations from my talented teamies. Whether it's cold or not right now where you live, we hope that you will join us this week for our Baby, It's Cold Outside challenge!

Life is good; so is art.
