Just Another Day ~ The East Wind new release
Hey there! Fridays mean a new release at The East Wind...happy dance! Today's release is called Lucy Loo Professor Loo and she's a knock-out! Lucy Loo is such a fashion plate who exudes style...and attitude. She makes me laugh just with the look on her pretty face...so disdainful and cynical.
I coloured Lucy with Prismacolor and a few Polychromos pencils. I have started supplementing my Prismacolors with the Faber-Castell pencils because they have different shades which sometimes suit the project better. I love the way they colour, too. Anyway, back to Lucy Loo before she gets annoyed with me...yikes! I fussy cut her and matted her with black cardstock before popping her up on foam tape.
The background is a mixture of papers from my stash. The one edge of each paper including the matting was torn and distressed. The top plain paper was also edged with Vintage Photo. The library card is a freebie from tortagialla.com. It was trimmed out, edged in Vintage Photo, and matted in black before being adhered at an angle over the layered background. The stack of books which was fussy cut and matted in black came from my stash of images.
The sentiment was computer generated, matted in black, and faux stitched. Foam tape gives it some dimension and shadow. The only embellishments I added were the three Idea-ology mini paper clips. I auditioned several other items but they failed to make the grade...lol. (School humour).
Anyway, thanks for stopping by today. Professor Loo and I appreciate it, each in our own way :) Check out The East Wind Facebook group to see other takes on this same image by my talented teamies. We'd love to see what you do with her.
