A Corny Hello ~ CYP # 231

It's me again! Since it's Monday, It's also time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion Challenges. Our theme this week is It's Harvest Time and our awesome sponsor is Doodle Pantry. I love their images...so cute...as well as the fact that you also get sentiments and papers to coordinate.

I chose to play with Corn Field Ants because those ants always make me smile! I coloured two of the images with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut them leaving a narrow white border. They were then both matted with black cardstock and popped up on foam tape.

One of the papers included with the set was cut smaller than the white base and given a black mat for contrast. Two corners were cut from the black and layered over opposite corners of the digi paper. A section of burlap was cut and frayed to layer under the image mat. It was cut from bright green cardstock using Spellbinders Curvy Rectangles die, faux stitched, and matted in black.

The final touches were added in the form of the sentiment, one of several with this set, some enamel dots, and a twine bow. The sentiment was printed on white, matted in green and then black, and popped up on foam tape. The open letters were coloured in with yellow Prisma pencil and the dots were emphasized with half pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I would offer you something to eat but the ants don't share well! When you get a chance, pop by the Craft Your Passion Challenges blog to see the other It's Harvest Time creations by my talented teamies. I hope you decide to play along with us.

Life is good; so is art.
