I have two more projects to share with you today as part of my guest designer spot at One Crazy Stamper, an online and brick and mortar store here in Ontario. I was so honoured to be invited to play along with the rest of the team this month.
The first project is another card which I made following the challenge theme of Love. After all, it is February :) I chose a High Hopes image called Homespun Hearts Snowy which I stamped with Ranger Archival Black and coloured with my trusty Prismacolor pencils. OCS carries Prismas which is awesome! I stamped the image on kraft cardstock and then cut the top using an MFT notebook border die. Opal Liquid Pearls was added to the ground snow. Two tiny arrows from a Quickutz die were adhered to the left side of the image piece.
The background paper is from the MME Lost & Found Two Rosy pad. It was layered on black cardstock and adhered over more of the kraft cardstock to cover the card base. Another black rectangle was offset and glued behind the image piece. A corner cluster was created using a crocheted flower which my 82 year old neighbour made for me. Similar crocheted flowers can be found here. A large heart button formed the center of the flower. A Tim Holtz Adage ticket and three flat pearls completed the cluster. To balance the card and pull some white up to the top, a sparkly white snowflake button was added.
For my second project, I chose to make a tag which I covered with paper from MME's Oliver Lost & Found 3 paper pad. It has lovely vintage prints and colours which suited my idea perfectly. The Bird Collage image from Impression Obsession was stamped on kraft cardstock using Coffee Bean Archival ink. The bird was watercoloured using Distress inks (Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw) and a water brush. It was fussy cut and the edges were darkened with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. A resin flower from my stash was adhered over the flower in the image. The cut out image was layered over foam squares and a feather to create dimension and texture.
An office tag was inked with Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo Distress inks before being torn and doodled around. Letter block stamps from Hampton Art were used to spell joy and doodled around. Tiny staples were affixed with a tiny attacher and a Tim Holtz pen nib was then glued to the tag with Glossy Accents. To complete the top portion of the tag, gold grosgrain ribbon was stapled onto the tag and a small Tim Holtz gear was glued over the staple.
To complete the bottom of the tag, zigzag Artisan ribbon from PinkPaislee was stamped with a script stamp and Vintage Photo. Faux stitching was added to the points to make it more visible. Wired jute was tied over that and a wooden clock was adhered with a foam square.
That brings to a close my guest designing for One Crazy Stamper. I really appreciate the opportunity to work with their DT and wonderful products. Thanks so much, Lora and Jacilynn. I had a blast! Thanks for visiting and for hanging in with this super long post. It was a two-fer so lots to talk about :)
Life is good; so is art.

Great pieces, Bonnie! I love the snowman on the kraft background, so cute... and the tag is just fabulous! The colours are lovely, and your musical bird is just perfection!
Hi Bonnie, both projects are beautiful. I love the quirky snowman and the heart and crochet flower are beautiful. Your tag is stunning, love how you did the bird especially and the feather behind is just perfect. Lovely projects! Hugs, Anne x
These are both fabulous Bonnie. I particularly like the musical bird and his leafy perch. Congrats on guest DT spot - I bet they are thrilled with you. Nicola x
