Peter Da Puppy ~ ATCs With Attitude
Another fortnight has flown past so that means it's time for a new challenge at ATCs With Attitude. This time the challenge is to create an atc with one side shaped, something that really made me think. Isn't it strange how the simplest challenge theme can pose the greatest challenge? I was able to play with this cute garden themed image of Peter Da Puppy from our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish. I coloured Peter, his watering can, and flowers with Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut close to the image, leaving a narrow white border. Each of the flower centers were embellished with half pearls in either black or Copic-coloured white which then became yellow.. The image was then popped up on foam dots.
The background is two layers cut on one side using a circle template. One layer is heavy white cardstock, inked along the edge with Salty Ocean Distress ink, and faux stitched with a blue Prismacolor marker. The top layer which was cut slightly shorter came from DCWV's High School Matstack. It was faux stitched with a white paint pen and adhered to the white layer. The white pen was also used to draw a faux buttonhole. A green button was threaded with green and white baker's twine and adhered over the buttonhole with a foam dot.
So now you see the shape Peter and I settled on for his "Shape One Side" atc. I think the problem for me was that there were so many shapes and methods of cutting them to choose from. If you get a minute, stop over at the ATCs With Attitude blog to see what the rest of the DT chose for their shaped sides. I'm looking forward to seeing what you choose, as well. Thanks for the visit.
I am entering this atc in the following challenges:
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards ~ #44 Animals
Delicious Doodles ~ #46 Summertime
Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge ~ #4 Summer
Southern Girls Challenge ~ #74 Animal Antics
