The East Wind Challenge #44 ~ Meowy Christmas
Hi there. Today marks the beginning of our second annual Meowy Christmas challenge at The East Wind blog. Unky created a special image with that theme in mind for the December newsletter freebie ...so cute! All of the DT are using this one for their inspiration projects.
I coloured Meowy Christmas with a mix of Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils. Clear Wink of Stella was added over the glass ball portion and gold gel pen was used on the string. The image was then trimmed out leaving a narrow white border and then matted with black. Once it was fussy cut again, it was popped up on foam tape to add dimension.
Two Christmas papers from MME's Christmas paper pack were trimmed to layer over black mats. Gold twine was wrapped around the layers and fastened in the back. A die cut sentiment was inked around with gold and faux stitched before being matted with black cardstock. A tiny poinsettia stacked sticker was added to the bottom of the sentiment label to tie the red from the image into it. Finally a gold brad was added to the top to become the hanger for the ornament string.
Thanks for joining my feline friends and me today. We would love to see what you create for our Meowy Christmas challenge. I hope you will join us over at The East Wind Challenge blog. That would be purrr-fect!
Life is good; so is art.
