Flowers and Lace ~ Craftitude Challenge 67

Hi there! Thanks for joining me on my last post as owner and DT member for the Craftitude Challenges blog. While I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this team and have learned so much about managing a challenge blog, I have found that I was spending less and less time creating which was not what I wanted. I love the creative process and that's how I like to spend my time so I have decided to step down and my wonderful team mate, Carla Hiebert has agreed to take over the Craftitude Challenges blog. The funny thing is that right after I sent my letter to the team closing this door, another opportunity which fit my wish to spend more time creating presented itself. Don't you love when that happens!

Our current challenge theme is Flowers and Lace as well as our usual Anything Goes. Our sponsor  is the fabulous Dilly Beans. Megan's images always bring a smile to my face with their whimsy and fun  characters. I chose to play with Mimi's Heart Flowers Framed for my ATC. I coloured Mimi and her hearts with Prismacolor pencils and then cut the image next to the frame. I layered this onto black cardstock cut to the traditional 2.5 x 3.5" size. A strip of lace trim was adhered to the bottom of the image rectangle and flowers with gem or pearl centers were clustered in the lower left corner. Simple and sweet! (No, not me...the design!)

Mimi and I thank you for joining us today. I would like to thank the Craftitude team and our followers for joining me on this journey. I wish you all the best in the future!

Craftitude Challenge #66 ~ Pop it up!

I love Rick St Dennis images...they tell the most wonderful stories and are a dream to colour. That's why I am so excited this fortnight because Rick St. Dennis is the sponsor for our new Craftitude Challenge, Pop It Up (add dimension). I am particularly smitten with his hat ladies so, of course, that's who I chose to feature on my ATC. This beauty is called May Lily of the Valley. I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut her leaving a narrow white border to help her stand out from the background. She was popped up on foam dots and asked to wait to one side (which didn't please her, I might add.

The background is a scrap of greeny-blue mottled designer paper which I stamped with a script stamp and Memento Teal Zeal ink as well as a circle stamp and Brilliance Galaxy Gold. This layer was edged in the gold ink and popped up on foam tape before being matted with black cardstock. Tiny blue glittery butterflies were punched and adhered to black ones in the center so that the wings could be popped up. Black half pearls were adhered to the bottom left corner and tiny ones to the butterfly heads.

Thank you for joining the elegant May and far from elegant me today. We both appreciate your company. When you get a chance, stop over at the Craftitude Challenges blog to see what the rest of our talented team did with their fabulous Rick St Dennis images. We would love to have you play along with our Anything Goes/Pop it Up challenge this fortnight.

I am entering this ATC in the following challenges:
As You Like It ~ Favourite Colour Duo and why (Bluey-green and turquoise...like the ocean)
Crafty Creations ~ #264  Something that begins with S ~ stamping on BG, silver gel pen on earrings)
Digi Stamps 4 Joy ~ #93 Girly/Feminine

Asian Beauty ATC ~ Craftitude Challenge #65

Hello, everyone! It's that time again...time for a brand new challenge theme over at the Craftitude blog. This week we have two wonderful sponsors, MilkCoffee and The East Wind. I chose to play along with the challenge theme of That's Die-licious  using an image from The East Wind called Asian Bun. We would like to see you use something cut with a die for this challenge, although you are also welcome to follow the ever popular Anything Goes theme. I coloured this beautiful woman with Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut her. She was popped up on foam tape and set aside to await her background.

For that, I chose a patterned paper from The Far East Stack from DCWV. The paper has a very subtle gold dragon in the background. I emphasized the gold by lining the outside edge with a metallic gelly roll pen before matting it with black cardstock. The tree branches were cut using a die and then adhered to the page so that they look like one branch. Tiny pink flowers were cut with a Punch Bunch tool, sculpted with a stylus and given pearl centers before they were adhered to the branches to resemble cherry blossoms. Three more were grouped at the bottom left of the ATC in order to bring some pink to that corner as well as create a diagonal flow through the image. A tiny black butterfly was punched and given Icicle Stickle shine on its wings.

I purposely kept this ATC simple both because the image is strong enough to stand alone and because the Asian feel to this card lends itself beautifully to a more serene background. Thanks so much for stopping by today. When you get a minute, pop over to the Craftiude Challenges blog to get an eyeful of the wonderful That's Die-licious inspiration provided by the rest of our fabulous DT. Hoping you'll join us for this challenge!

I am entering this ATC in the following challenges:

Digi Choosday ~ Week 19 Embellish It
Glitter n Sparkle #84 Female

Believe ATC ~ Craftitude Challenge # 64

It's time for a brand new theme at Craftitude Challenges. This time we offering our usual Anything Goes theme but our optional one is to follow a Recipe. The challenge theme is called Easy as 1-2-3 and we'd like to see 1 image - 2 designer papers - 3 embellies. It sounds complicated but it's really a piece of cake. Our wonderful sponsor this time is the fabulous Eureka Stamps. I love the range and variety of images they offer and have the hardest time choosing only one. This time I decided to play with Lacy Butterfly...how gorgeous is that? I coloured Lacy with Prismacolor pencils and dotted the body marks with a silver gel pen. The image was fussy cut and outlined along the edges with black. The antennae were cut off and replaced with fine hemp cord and the head was given a black half pearl. The image was popped up on foam tape.

The background for this ATC is blue and yellow scraps. The blue was stencilled with Forget-Me-Not Archival ink sponged through TCW's Tile texture stencil. It was also applied to the edges before being matted with black cardstock. The yellow papers were torn and edged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Scuffs of white gesso and stamped Vintage Photo splatter dots were also added to the background. The metal Believe bead was threaded onto turquoise hemp cord which was then wrapped around the ATC. The bead was glued in place with Glossy Accents to keep it from sliding. Tiny flowers were punched and sculpted before being adhered and given pearl centers. A tiny scrap of black was cut into a triangle and adhered to the opposite corner for balance.

That's it for my take on the recipe: I image (Lacy Butterfly), 2 DPs (yellow and blue), 3 embellies (half pearls, hemp cord, bead). Thanks for hanging out with me today. I appreciate that and I'm sure Lacy does, too, in her own flighty way...lol. When you get a chance, pop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the lovely creations by our talented DT. Our newest members have added their fab creations this time. Hope you'll join us for this Anything Goes/Easy as 1-2-3 challenge.

Spring has sprung ATC ~ Craftitude Challenge #63

Well, the good news is that we are getting rain instead of the snow we got twice this week. No hint of flowers poking their noses out of the ground yet but at least I can see the ground...Bonus! It's time for a new challenge at Craftitude this fortnight. Our themes for Challenge #63 are Anything Goes OR Spring has sprung (spring or Easter images or colours). Our wonderful sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps & More. I chose to feature this adorable image called, Ms. Cutie Bear, colouring her with Prismacolor pencils. I used my fuzzy bear technique of layering tiny strokes for her fur and added white paint pen dots on her dress and the pink flowers. Ms. Cutie was fussy cut and then matted in black cardstock to allow her to stand out from the background. She was popped up on foam tape for dimension.

The background for this ATC was a scrap of DCWV's Collage Art paper matted on black cardstock with a faux stitched edge. Two little buttons, a dragonfly and a bee, were added to the garden scene. The word Spring was printed from the computer and matted in black. Simple design, letting Ms Cutie do all of the heavy lifting to make it work :)

Thanks for visiting today. If you get a chance, pop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the awesome inspiration provided by the rest of the DT for the Anything Goes/Spring Has Sprung challenge. Hope you'll play along with us.

I am entering this ATC in the following challenges:

Brittany, a sweet flapper

One of our Craftitude DT members was unable to complete her card for this challenge so I seized the opportunity to play with another artbymiran image for our current challenge, Anything Goes or Add a brad/eyelet. This little sweetie is called Brittany 1920s Flapper and, of course, I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut her leaving a narrow white border and then matted her in black.. A black gem was placed in the center of her headband flower and Black Diamond Stickles were added to her sash. A Clear Star Jelly Roll was used to dot around the flower and outline the sash. Her pearls were dotted with white Scribbles paint.

The card is a step card and the panels were layered with scraps of black and white paper. A double row of gems was adhered across the top edge over a scallop border cut with an MFT die. Tiny star sequins were glued to the scallops. To me, this became the curtain of a stage and the gems, the lights.

The sentiment from Create With TLC refers to Brittany's dreams to make it big in the theatre :) A pretty paper flower was used to embellish the one side of the sentiment and two heart brads decorated the other.

That's it for Brittany and me today. We thank you for visiting and hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
artbymiran ~ Anything goes
2 Sisters ~ #174 Black and White and one other colour (red)
Sweet Stamps ~ #161 Anything Goes
Feeling Crafty ~ #26 Use a Digi and Bling

Craftitude Challenge #61 ~ Add a Brad or an Eyelet

Woohoo! It's time for our new challenge at Craftitude Challenges and this fortnight we are honoured to be sponsored by artbymiran. Love her images and was amazed to discover that Mi Ran Jung, the artist, lives only about an hour away from me. We're practically neighbours...lol. The image that I chose to play with for my ATC is called Bashful Belinda and is available in artbymiran's Etsy shop here. I coloured Belinda with Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut her, and popped her up on foam tape.

The background is triple layered: gold patterned paper (MME), brown cardstock, and Lady Couture glossy embossed paper (DCWV). The edges of the two patterned papers were inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink, and the bottom layer was faux stitched. Tiny butterflies were cut from vellum and patterned paper using a Recollections punch. The vellum wings were folded up and edged with Vintage Photo and then Icicle Stickles. Tiny amber gems were added to the bodies once the two layers were attached in the center and also to Belinda's hair ornament. The pocket watch is a brad, and those teeny tiny flowers were cut with a Punch Bunch punch which my buddy, Paulette, sent me...thanks, Paulette. The flowers were sculpted slightly with a stylus and then half pearls were added to the centers and tiny green triangles for leaves.

Belinda and I thank you for visiting today. She would tell you herself but she's...bashful. If you get a chance, pop over to our Craftitude Challenges blog to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of our talented team. Stay tuned over there for a DT call which will be posted next week. We'd love to have you join our team.

Two Beauties and a Touch of Green ~ Craftitude Challenge # 60

We have a new challenge at Craftitude Challenges this fortnight and two amazing sponsors. Our themes this time are Anything Goes (always) or Add a Little Green (as a nod to St. Patrick's Day). Our two sponsors are Sassy Studio Designs and Aurora Wings...so hard to choose the images to play with when they are all gorgeous! From Sassy Studio Designs, I decided to play with St. Patrick's Day Sassy in honour of my one quarter Irish background. I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and used a metallic gold jelly pen on her buckles. Then I fussy cut her and popped her up on foam tape. The foam on the beer is  a combination of  Icicle Stickles and white 3D fabric paint. The background paper was a scrap of green patterned paper edged with Mowed Lawn Distress ink, and layered over black and then green cardstock. The edges were doodled with a black pen and the layer of pp and black was wrapped with black twine to mimic the lacing in her corset. The shamrocks were cut with a Fiskars punch, smeared with Green Stickles, and then inked on the edges with Black Soot. March was printed from the computer and the 17 is stickers.

The image I chose to play with from Aurora Wings is called Water Lily Fairy. Again (and no surprise) I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut around the top. I matted the image with black cardstock and popped her up with foam tape. The background is another scrap of green matted with white and then black cardstock. The white layer was edged with Black Soot Distress ink. Once again, I doodled a border with black pen and punched three stars from the black cardstock. These were adhered over her head and tiny silver star beads were glued onto them with Glossy Accents.

Thanks so much for visiting today and for checking out my ATCs. I'm always appreciative of your company. If you get a chance, pop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to check out the wonderful cards and ATCs by the rest of our talented DT.  We'd love to have you join us this fortnight for Anything Goes or Add a Little Green.

Hit the right note ~ Craftitude Challenge 59

Whew! It's been a hectic week. My husband had knee replacement surgery on Valentine's Day (some people get chocolates...he got a new knee) and it's turned things upside down for the moment. All went well (yay!) but all of the formerly shared chores plus his care have fallen to me. It does make me appreciate how much he did around here before...lol. Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Craftitude and our themes are Anything Goes or Hit the Right Note (music themed projects). Stamp n Doodle, which is closed due to illness, and the ever-awesome Meljen's Designs provided the images this round with Meljen's providing the prize. For my atc, I chose to play with this Meljen's Designs image called Girl Talk. What a fun and funky image to colour!

I coloured Miranda with Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut her with a white border, and then matted her with black cardstock. Bling was adhered over the image dots and she was popped up on foam tape. The background paper is a scrap matted on black cardstock. A torn strip of music paper was matted in black and adhered horizontally behind the image. Two music note brads embellish two of the corners and a third was given silver star sequins to reflect the light and echo the shine from the bling.

Thanks for popping by today. I love that you did that. If you get a chance, stop by the Craftitude Challenge blog to see the cards and atcs from the rest of my talented teamies. I'm hoping you'll be inspired to join us. We had nearly 240 participants last challenge which was awesome!

I am entering this atc in the following challenges:

Milk Coffee Challenge ~ Girly
Little Red Wagon ~ #225 Anything But a Card---but with paper
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Always Anything Goes

Craftitude Challenge 58 ~ Anything Goes or Valentines/love

Another fortnight has passed and it's time for a new challenge on the Craftitude Challenges blog. The theme for this fortnight is Anything Goes or Valentines/Love. It'll be that special day before we know it. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More. I chose to play with this fun sweethearts image called Hog Wild Over You. These two crack me up. I coloured the images with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut it with a narrow white border, both so that it would stand out against the background and also so I wouldn't lose those tiny hearts.

The background was a scrap of red dot on red paper and was matted in black before being faux stitched around the edges. A piece of a tiny doily was layered behind these two before they were adhered to the background. Three black bling hearts were lined up in the top right corner and a reflective "Love" word from my stash was matted in black before being popped up on foam tape. To balance the other corner, three skinny strips of black cardstock were adhered in a graduated row. Easy peasy...don't you just love ATCs?

Thanks for stopping by today to check out these two cuties. If you get a chance, pop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the fun makes by the rest of our talented DT. We'd LOVE to see you join in with this challenge :)

A Winter's Day ~ Craftitude Challenge 57

Well, that fortnight certainly flew by quickly! It's time for the new challenge at Craftitude where the themes this time are Anything Goes (always) or I See Fluffy. The fluffy can be something in your image like snow, an animal. clouds etc. or an embellishment like fuzzy ribbon or Flower Soft, for example. Our wonderful sponsor this time is Delicious Doodles where we found some amazing images, as usual. I chose this beautiful scene called A Robin's Christmas which I coloured with my Prismacolor pencils. I chose to play down the Christmas elements a little since it is long over but loved the details in this image. The tree was given white half pearl decorations...maybe they are perfect little snowballs made by winter fairies :) The sky was coloured with Broken China Distress ink applied with a blending tool.

I purposely sized the digi smaller so that I could mat it with black to provide a contrasting frame and yet still be 2.5 x 3.5"...a true atc. I added a metal snowflake with a silver brad to the top right corner to balance out the shine from the pearls and the heaviness in the bottom left corner.

Thanks for popping by today. We have had super cold weather lately bu gorgeous sunshine...there's nothing prettier than a snowy sunshiny winter day, especially if you are warm and crafting inside...lol. Hope you are, too! Be sure to pop by the Craftitude blog to check out the lovely responses to the AG/I See Fluffy Challenge by own wonderful DT. We'd love to have you join us.

Ribbons and Pearls ~ Craftitude Challenge 56

Wow! It's been ages since I posted an ATC. We extended our last Craftitude challenge to four weeks long to give the DT a little time to celebrate Christmas and New years with their friends and family. Our new challenge (56) for this fortnight is Anything Goes or Ribbons and Pearls. Our wonderful sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs and I chose to create with this Cinderella Pin Up digi. I just love the folds in her dress, her pretty hair, and gorgeous face. Lots of fun to colour with my Prismacolor pencils. Cinderella was fussy cut, edged in Black Big brush pen, and popped up on foam tape for dimension. A flat pearl was added for her earring.

The two layers of background papers come from Recollections Habitat paper pad.  Narrow cream ribbon and a narrow strip of the darker rose coloured paper were woven along the top and left side of the atc. Another scrap of ribbon created a ledge on which Cinder's missing shoe could rest. Tiny hearts were cut from the same paper with a MS punch, shaded with Prisma pencil, and dotted with white. Tiny wires were doodled above them to allow them to "hang" from the bottom ribbon. To finish off the ATC, tiny flat pearls were adhered to the paper strips in the woven pattern.

Thanks for popping by to visit with Cinderella and me today. We love when you do that. If you get a chance, stop by the Craftitude Challenges blog to check out the wonderful inspiration provided by the rest of the DT. It's worth the trip :)

Dear Santa ~ Craftitude Challenge #55

There's are new challenge themes at Craftitude Challenges this fortnight...Anything Goes or Christmas Sparkle. One of our fab sponsors this challenge is Sassy Studio Designs and I chose to work with this Christmas Cutie called Santa Pin Up. I coloured her with my trusty Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut her and then added Icicle Stickles to her outfit's fur trim. Her earring is a tiny red rhinestone. Foam tape was applied to the back of Cutie to pop her up slightly, creating a shadow.

The background paper came from the DCWV Christmas Stack. Script stamping was added to the letter paper using Walnut Stain Distress ink. A band of plaid paper was added to the left side and three tiny strips were added to the right side. Brown flat pearls were adhered over the horizontal strips. The ornament was cut twice from the same paper stack. Baker's twine and Prismacolor pencil shading were added to the second one which was then popped up on foam tape over the first one. An embroidery floss bow was added to the hanger which was outlined with Sepia pen. More outlining was done with Sepia around the paper strips. Walnut Brown Big Brush pen was added to the edge of the ATC as well as Vintage Photo Distress ink.

That's it for my Christmas Sparkle ATC. Thank you for popping by today. I always appreciate your good company on this artsy journey. Gimme a little kiss! ~ Craftitude Challenge #54

I cannot believe it is already the end of November. Was it not just the beginning of September yesterday? My, oh my! Well, it is time for another challenge at Craftitude Challenges. This fortnight the theme is Button Up and we are asking you to add a button to your project. Easy peasy! We have two fabulous sponsors this time, Digi Darla and Eureka Stamps. I chose to play with Eureka Stamps' Mistletoe Couple for my ATC.  I think these two are so cute in their Christmas finery puckering up under the mistletoe. I coloured them with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut them, using a tiny circle punch for the greenery.

The paper is from DCWV's The Christmas Combo stack which I think I will never use up in my lifetime. There are 180 12x12 sheets in this baby. That's a lot of cards and atcs...lol. Anyway, I used a brown holly patterned tone on tone paper for the background and then cut a scalloped border off the same paper. A length of red and white dotty ribbon was adhered next to the scalloped border and faux stitching was done with a Micron pen. Two green buttons were stacked and threaded with brown and white baker's twine before they were glued on top of the red grosgrain ribbon. The mistletoe was popped up on a foam dot and a Walnut Brown Big Brush pen was used to edge the ATC and colour in a floor to ground the sweethearts.

Thank you for popping by today to visit with the three of us. I really appreciate that you took the time to do that. Be sure to stop by the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the Button Up projects created by the rest of our fine team. Then dig into that button stash and join us this fortnight. Oh those leaves! ~ Craftitude Challenge #53

Talk about odd weather. We had a funny thing happen on Tuesday. We had all kinds of snow that actually stuck around. Steve went out to shovel our neighbour's driveway. By the time he was finished, all of the leaves had fallen off the closest tree so he had to shovel them next. It made me laugh...probably because I was all toasty inside :D Anyway, we have a new challenge this fortnight at Craftitude Challenges. As always, the first choice of themes is Anything Goes but the second theme is Falling Leaves. Our wonderful sponsor this time is Milk Coffee Stamps and I chose to work with Girl Cleaning Fallen Leaves for my ATC. I coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut her. She was popped up on foam tape.

The background is a layer of dark brown cardstock matting a layer of patterned paper from DCWV's Safari Chic stack. A strip of burlap was adhered over the rust coloured layer. Brown baker's twine was wrapped over the burlap and puffy leaf stickers were adhered over that. Three gold coloured brads were added to the upper right corner and faux stitching was added with a sepia Micron.

Thanks for popping by today. I enjoy both your wonderful company and you lovely comments. If you get a minute, hop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the awesome projects from our talented DT. We'd love to have you join us this challenge either in the Anything Goes or the Falling leaves category.

Tie One On ~ Craftitude Challenge 52

Happy Friday everyone! It's a brand new month and also a brand new challenge at Craftitude. Our themes this fortnight are Anything Goes and Tie One On.Now,before you pour a little spirits to go with that Halloween candy from last night, I should clarify. We are asking you to add a little twine, embroidery floss, yarn, or string...that kind of tying one on...lol. Our sponsor this time is Robyn's Fetish and I was lucky to work with their Jennie the Scarecrow image. Jennie was coloured with Prismacolor pencils, given black gem eyes (the better to see you with, my dear), and then fussy cut. Foam tape was added to her backside for dimension.

I decided to go a little mixed media on the background. The brown and the striped papers came from DCWV's The High School Matstack. White acrylic paint was pounced through TCW's Well Rounded stencil to create the open circles and then used on a TH splatter stamp for the random dots. A scallop punch was used to cut borders from BoBunny ETC paper. The borders were then inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink and faux stitched with a sepia Micron pen. The word FALL was printed from the computer and matted with more of the BoBunny paper. Two puffy leaf stickers were adhered to the top left corner of the ATC and raffia was wrapped and tied where the striped paper met the brown background.

Thanks for popping by to visit with Jennie and me. We're both happy to have your wonderful company and Jennie is just tickled to show off her new fall ensemble. She's such a fashionista! If you get a minute, pop over to the Craftitude Challenges blog to see the awesome inspiration provided by the rest of our talented DT. I'm proud to hang out with them. Be afraid...be very afraid ~ Craftitude Challenge 51

Hello crafty peeps! Another fortnight has passed and it's time for a new challenge at Craftitude. It's also the first post for our new DT members so there are lots of great things to celebrate. Our challenge themes are Anything Goes or Spooky and our sponsor is one of my faves, QKR Stampede. I love the quirkiness and playfulness of their images. They always make me smile. I coloured the RIP image with my Prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut the image. It was then popped up on foam tape for dimension.

The background is a piece of black cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug mesh embossing folder and then brushed with Treasure Copper gilt wax. The moon was punched from DCWV's The Midnight Spell matstack making sure that one of the spiders on the paper was within the circle. The spider was highlighted with Glossy Accents to give it shine and dimension. The outside of the circle was inked with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. The sentiment was cut from a collage sheet from Lisa's Altered Art.

The wispy clouds were added by adhering a cheesecloth scrap to the moon and background. The eyes were cut from yellow paper and Glossy Accented. Once dry, black half pearls were added for dimension ...and menace.

Thanks for popping by today. Hope you weren't too frightened :) If you get a minute, check out the Spooky cards and atcs by the rest of the Craftitude DT. They have outdone themselves. Hope you'll join us.

I am entering this atc in the following challenges:

Dream Big ~ Craftitude Challenge 50

It's time for a new challenge at Craftitude. Our themes this week are Anything Goes/Things Starting with the letter S which can be embellies, colours used, or things within the image. I have a card and an ATC again today, one from each of our wonderful sponsors, Sassy Studio Designs and Eureka Stamps. My card features Steampunk Amelia from Sassy Studio Designs. Amelia was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and her eyes and goggle lenses have Glossy Accents on them to add shine. She was then fussy cut, mounted on black cardstock and fussy cut again to leave a narrow mat. Foam dots were applied to the back to create dimension and shadow.

The background comes from the Recollections Steampunk Botanica stack. It was backed with black cardstock for matting. The sentiment is from TLC and was chosen to reflect Amelia's sense of adventure. Metal gears and a metal lens were adhered on the background with Glossy Accents. Black dome stickers and dotty ribbon flags were placed on the two sides.  The S details are: steampunk, sign, stickers, Sienna Brown, and stockings.

My ATC uses a Eureka Stamps image called Parachuting Squirrel which was also coloured with Prismacolor pencils before being fussy cut and popped up on foam dots. The background is a heavy piece of mottled brown cardstock from some packaging. Leaves were cut from various fall coloured scraps using a Martha Stewart punch. The leaves were inked on the edges with Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, and Mowed Lawn Distress inks. Duplicates were cut of two leaves so that they could be popped up on foam dots over the flat layer. A scalloped border was punched from kraft cardstock and added to the top edge along with some sepia doodling. White dots were added to the sides of the ATC with paint pen. The sentiment for this card is a metal sticker spelling Joy because that's what I believe Skippy is feeling as he floats through the sky. He makes me smile :) Skippy's S details are : squirrel, sticker, sequence of dots, shiny sentiment, and scallops.

Yum Bunny ~ Craftitude Launch, DT call & Challenge #49

Well, Holy Cow! I thought today would never arrive! I am excited to announce the launch of Craftitude: Paper Crafting With Attitude. We revised and revamped the former ATCs With Attitude challenge blog criteria to include all types of paper crafting so we created a new name and a new blog to reflect that. I also assumed co-ownership along with Abbie Kay who has been a co-owner since the beginning. We have two teams( ATC and Card) and will also be featuring other types of paper crafting from time to time. Now besides all of that excitement, we are also having a DT Call to expand our teams. Have a look at this post if you're interested. We'd love to have you join us.

We now join our regular scheduled programme already in progress...lol.

I love the fall...the crispness of the air, the pumpkins and fall flowers, the leaves changing...all of it. I especially love working outside in the garden when I can last so much longer without the heat and especially that nasty old humidity. Our theme this fortnight at Craftitude is Anything Goes I chose the most delightful garden image from Bugaboo to be the star of this challenge's atc. It's called Garden Bunny - Carrot Patch and it absolutely cracks me up with the bunny and his awesome ears disguising himself as just another carrot so that the gardener won't catch him.

I paper pieced the ground, the carrots, and carrot tops with paper chosen from my scrap box and printed with the digi stamp. The ground is checked, the carrots dotty, and the green tops and leaves also checked. They were shaded with Prismacolor pencils which were also used to colour Mr. Bunny. His little paw was also paper pieced to bring it back to white on the printed ground. The sky was inked in with Peacock Feathers Distress ink and the edges were outlined with my black Big Brush Pen before being matted on  more of the green checked paper. The "finder's keepers" wording at the bottom is an Idea-ology Remnant Rub and the letter chips at the top are tiles from Doodlebug Designs.

I also created a bright and fun card using Bugaboo's Scene It - Fruit Fly image, again coloured with Prismacolor pencils. Their tiny wings have Icicle Stickles added over the blue coloured pencil and white half pearls dot the background of the image.. The image was cut with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles die and matted in brown cardstock. The background papers come from my scrapbox. The brown cardstock borders were cut with an MFT die. Red grosgrain ribbon, flower and leaf buttons from Doodlebug and some letter stickers completed the card. The word party was placed on top of a remnant of corrugated cardboard from another project to make it stand out and give it additional weight in the design.

I so appreciate your stopping by and hopefully sharing a smile with me over Mr. Bunny's antics as well as those of the fruit flies.. Can't you just see the camera panning on the carrots and right over Mr. Bunny, only to suddenly return to him once the penny drops? I love it! If you get a chance, stop by the Craftitude blog to see the wonderful creations by the rest of our wonderful DT. And if you get a chance, join us by linking up your own paper crafted project.
