Hi everyone. It's my turn to choose the theme for this week's prompt of the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. I have had this collage idea in my wee brain for ages now and decided that this was the week I was finally going to run with it. The theme which I have chosen for the Week 44 prompt is Eyes. I am always drawn to animal and people eyes immediately. They express so much, and are so beautiful and unique.

Joggles Art Journal Adventure Week 40 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone! It's my turn to choose the prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure and this week I decided to have a little fun with Triangles. Besides including a bunch of the geometric three sided shapes, I featured the design strategy, the visual triangle, to guide the eye around the page. I use the visual triangle often and in this case created three clusters of elements to make the points of the imaginary triangle.

Joggles Art Journal Adventure - Week 38 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. It's my week to choose the prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure and I chose the word Abundance. I'm hoping that people will focus on the wonderful little moments which each day holds, things we often forget to notice or might take for granted. It's easy to get caught up in the negative and what's wrong but I wanted to begin to document some of the things that make me smile or bring me a sense of peace or joy..."ahhhhh" moments. Once I started looking for these things, I began noticing more and more...I could easily have filled a second page and will have this one completely filled in in spite of leaving room to grow.

Sneak Peek of my Joggles DT Post - Cheeky Fairy Tags

Hi everyone! It's my turn to create a DT project for the Joggles blog and above is a sneak peek of part of one tag. I decided to make three tags which I can use in my kraft, cream, and black junk journal which I have been working on for a while now. I used some insect wings from a Joggles Collage sheet combined with Tim Holtz paper dolls to feature on layered tags. I also included some of my previously created ephemera paper elements as embellies. I love how these tags turned out!

Sneak Peek of my LeighSBDesigns Tutorial Tuesday Post

Hi everyone! Today, it's my turn to host Tutorial Tuesday on LeighSBDesigns blog. Recently, Leigh created two amazing images for a contest on Markers! Papers! Digis! Facebook group: one a colouring page and another a single image. Both featured these amazing Tangled Maple Leaves and being a proud Canadian I just couldn't resist using the single image, Tangled Maple Leaf, for my project today.

Joggles Art Journal Adventure ~ Week 36 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. Once again it's my week to choose the weekly prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. For Week 36, I'm asking everyone to Wing It. Now that could be literally like featuring anything with wings (butterflies, angels, fairies, airplanes...you get the idea) or you could wing it as part of your process like I did with the background. I wanted to use a cloud mask and ink but only had a vague idea about how to do what I wanted so I made it up...and learned a ton...as I went along :)

Joggles Art Journal Adventure ~ Week 34 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. Once again it's my week to choose the weekly prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. For Week 34, I'm asking participants to create or reference a mosaic or patchwork design for their page. I have a ton of scraps from previous projects...off-cuts, mop-up pieces, pieces where I changes my mind, or scraps from play sessions. I wanted to create a mosaic tying these pieces together into a cohesive design and playing with details as I went along. I love this kind of process and the challenge it presents.

Week 32 -Joggles Art Journal Adventure Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. Once again it's my week to choose the weekly prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. For Week 32, I chose the prompt of  Water. It seems that in the summer more than any other season, water becomes a topic of conversation. Will it ever rain? Have we had enough rain? Will it ever stop raining? Do we need to water the flower beds? You get the idea. And then there are all the water activities like swimming, going to the beach, boating, etc. The other thing that brought the prompt of water to mind for this week's AJA was a video I watched from Jennifer McGuire about using water with Distress Oxide Inks. She demoed many cool techniques which I was excited to try...so Water it is! Whether it influences your colour palette, your choice of focal or scenery, a steamy bath, or how you play with your media...let water be your inspiration.

Joggles 2017 Art Journal Adventure ~ week 30 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. It's my week again to choose the weekly prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. For Week 30, I chose the prompt of Opposites. I like to choose a word that can be interpreted and responded to in many different ways to leave it as wide open as possible. It's always so inspiring and interesting to see the cool directions a single word takes our creative group. While I chose light and dark, and positive/negative, as my jump off point, your imagination can take you so many other places. I had great fun incorporating two of the new Joggles stencils into my page design.

The 2017 Art Journal Adventure ~ Week 28 Sneak Peek

Hi everyone. It's my week again to choose the weekly prompt for the Joggles Art Journal Adventure. For Week 28, I chose the word Wonder. Although my image shows a woman with a look of wonder on her face, and my sentiment reflects that, I actually chose the word wonder because I was satisfying my curiosity about what would happen if I played with inky string.

Dylusions Creative Dyary Die Cut Cards ~ Quick Peek

Hi everyone. Today on the Joggles blog, I have posted  a couple of mixed media cards featuring two of the fabulous Dylusions Creative Dyary Die Cuts. I love these images... they are a wonderful size for cards or smaller art journal pages. Both were coloured up with coloured pencils and I even show the way I often finish the insides of my cards.
