SNP Cat in Rose Pot

I love this Patti's Kids image from Stamp N Plus Scrap N. As anyone who knows me is fully aware (hard to miss), I am cat-crazy and Patti's kids has some of the cutest cat images going. I stamped this little fellow, called Cat In Rose Pot X2574, on white cardstock and coloured him with Prismacolor pencils. The background was loosely coloured with Neocolor II watercolour crayons. The image was then cut out using a die. Faux stitching was added to the outside of the die cut before inking.

The background was a series of coordinating scraps from my overflowing stash. A scallop punch was used on the narrow edge of one layer. The rectangles were each matted on brown cardstock which helps unify the various patterns and shades of green. White cord was wrapped around the solid green layer and tied in a simple knot. Foam adhesive was added to the back of the image piece before adhering it to the card. Three buttons in the roses' colours were the only other embellies added to this CAS card.

Thanks for dropping by today. I really appreciate that you took the time to do that. Oh look, you made the kitty smile, too :)

Life is good; so is art

Love this cat stamp. Your choice of designer papers and their placement provide interest without detracting from the main focal point.
